Team Building
“Team building” means a host of different things depending upon whom you ask. Some feel that it’s getting better acquainted, others think it should build trust, still others say it must improve communication, “bonding,” or learning how to solve problems as a group. And everyone agrees that there is an element of fun, because team building uses interactive games and adventures.
In reality, team building is all of the above and more. A good team building exercise creates positive interaction among a group of people, and in doing so enhances their ability to work effectively as a team when they return to the workplace. Team Building is ideal for conferences, corporate socials or High School and University events. Build team spirit, spice up another event or just experience the ultimate in fun with a twist of competition. We’ll provide more than expected with our Team Building Events; suitable for groups of 25 to 1000. Team Building has also proven itself as a very successful fund-raiser.
Niagara Inflatables & Games Inc. is also in the business of Team Building, Training and Facilitation. This means we can facilitate, lead and thoroughly debrief your event. The facilitator is not just there to run and referee an entertaining game (unless that is what you want). We offer “Team Assessment & Solution” sessions in advance of any of our team building events. We provide a positive process for:
1. Breaking down barriers
2. Encouraging communication and reducing conflict management
3. Starting the group problem solving and teamwork process, and
4. Providing real solutions to teamwork obstacles and operational issues.
Teams will assess their own strengths and opportunities for improvement as well as provide concrete ideas for enhancing performance.
Our customized debriefing sessions are based on your input and allow you to do the debriefing in tandem with us for maximum benefit and impact. We do not know your company or your associates like you do, therefore we encourage your involvement in the debriefing process to make it much more meaningful.
Additionally, our debriefing sessions are interactive and require that participants take part in presenting their ideas on the meaning of the team building exercise. This insures that they are listening and involved– and will learn and remember more than they would if someone were just giving a speech.
Many companies advertise that they do team building, when in fact they are just renting games or turning some form of entertainment into a group event. Real team building means using and enhancing the team skills that are required at work as well as getting to know your team members and learning to work more efficiently together.
